We will be posting lots of fun activities for the whole family this summer! Beach Ball Boat Pose is the first one and a great yoga pose that you and your kids can work on together! It combines strength, balance, coordination, and teamwork and it's sure to bring out some laughter as it does with our students all the time! Just follow the steps below!
Get a ball! The larger the ball, the easier; the smaller the ball, the more challenging! You are going come into boat pose, balancing on your sit bones, knees and feet off the ground, and squeeze the ball between your ankles or calves. If you want to use your hands for support just behind your hips, go ahead!
Grab a friend, neighbor, or family member (the more the merrier) to do it with you! Pass the beach ball around the circle without using your hands!
EVEN MORE CHALLENGES:
* See how many times you can pass it around the circle without letting the ball touch the ground!
* See if you can do it without putting your hands down!
* Try to keep your feet up the WHOLE time the ball is going around the circle
* Add another ball or 2 or 3! Make them go opposite ways and see what happens!
